FILE RESTORE REQUESTS

This form is used to request file restoration from backups.

It will send a message to the CIT Technical Services Support Staff, who will usually perform the restore within the next working day.

Please make sure to specify which host you lost your files from. Equivalent hosts are okay (e.g.) all timeshare hosts on the SunCluster (UBUNIX).

You must answer ALL the following questions so that your file may be restored correctly and quickly.

IMPORTANT: Backups are done every morning. Your file must have existed at the time of the backup for it to be restored. (i.e.: A file that was created at 4:00pm and lost at 4:15pm that same day is NOT restorable. Files created in /tmp and /var/tmp are also not recoverable.)
